The 2010 Kawasaki KLX110L is designed with taller riders in mind and costs $2249. 14-inch front and 12-inch rear knobby tires on strong, steel rims provide great off-road traction and durability, and keep the seat low.A manual clutch gives the rider more control and is standard on the L model. The shock controls the rear wheel through a swingarm with a lower pivot. Stiffer spring and damping rates control the rear wheel through 5.2 inches of more firmly controlled travel, with greater resistance to bottoming.Four speeds instead of three exploit additional engine power: While the overall top-gear ratio is nearly the same, that extra gear is combined with a shorter final drive ratio to effectively tighten the gaps between each gear, while also widening the available range of operating speeds. Pushbutton electric starting makes it easier than ever to get rolling, but a reshaped kickstarter that clears the rider’s leg better is included for back-up.Re-tuned for 2010, the electric start 111cc SOHC engine produces more power than previous models and features a new 4-speed transmission that provides a wider selection of gear ratios to help capitalize on the new engine's increased performance. The KLX110's revised rear suspension offers increased bottoming resistance and an expanded ergonomic triangle helps the 110 accommodate a larger range of riders. The "standard" KLX110, features all the improvements listed above and comes equipped with a low 26.8" seat height, and a centrifugal clutch for easy, clutch-free stops, starts and shifting.
For more advanced riders or those wanting a taller seat height, the new KLX110L features a manual clutch for greater control and enhanced performance.
