James Stewart has withdrawn from the upcoming Genoa and Brisbane Supercrosses due to medical reasons, ending his "world tour" prematurely and putting a question mark on his health with the AMA Supercross season just eight weeks away.
Stewart, who pulled out of the final night of the Supercross of Paris in Bercy with suspected food poisoning, returned home after Paris and a medical evaluation by his doctors have found his "immune system to be dangerously compromised." Stewart has been advised by his doctor and team to discontinue any strenuous activity and not travel out of the country at this time, according to a release issued by his publicist today.
"I am really bummed about not being able to race in Italy and Australia," Stewart said in the release. "I've had such a great experience racing internationally. The fans are incredible and the race organizations really go out of their way to support me racing. His Team San Manuel team manager concurred: "At this time, James will be focusing on getting healthy and preparing to defend his Supercross championship title. Taking time to improve his health and well being is our first priority."

MX. New rules for 2010. Motocross is a turning point? 2010: key year for the world cross. New rules and new samples (125 2T and 150 4t). Try to understand what changes

MX2
Age limit: from next year will be admitted to the start of the MX2 riders with the age of twenty-three. The rule was enacted with the intention of lowering the age limit of the cylinder so that preparatory to raise the level of competitiveness. The MX1 will become in effect the class.

Continuing its strategic alliance with off-road series in Asia and Europe, the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series will send two top American racers to compete in the final round of the Japan National Cross Country (JNCC) Series, the AAGP, at the Sugo Circuit on November 22, 2009. FMF Makita Suzuki's Josh Strang from New Zealand, who finished second overall in the 2009 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country series in the XC1 class, and Shock Doctor KTM's Kailub Russell, who is fresh off his GNCC XC2 Championship win will travel to Sugo, Japan to compete.

It is a tradition for JNCC President Masami Hoshino to invite GNCC riders to the event, in exchange for Japanese riders that will compete in the opening rounds of the GNCC series. In March of 2009, Hoshino accompanied nearly a dozen Japanese riders and crew members who competed in the opening round of the GNCC Series at the Westgate River Ranch Resort in Florida.

Ivan Lazzarini pulled off a stunning win at his home round in Ottobiano, storming to second in the Championship behind leader Van Den Bosch. The latter was third on Ottobiano's podium behind Thomas Chareyre.

Adrien Chareyre was back to victory but did not manage to secure his third World Title by just four points. Delepine was second on the podium and moved up to second in the Championship as well while Burkhart completed the podium at his maiden GP appearance. Gozzini instead was disqualified in heat one after a crash and slipped to third in the Championship.

Adrien Chareyre had hoped to seal up the World Championship title, but missed it by only four points.

The championship was already over so I came here to do my best. In the first heat I was pretty quick but got tired after a close battle with Philippaerts. I then made a small crash and lost time to catch the other riders. In the second moto Barragan crashed in front of me and there was nowhere to go. It was amazing with the crowd here and to see so many people coming to watch motocross. I hope we can come back next year. I now want to train as close to normal as I can before the Nations."

Sign me up for the whitey.A new aluminum frame and swingarm are used, with the main frame constructed out of sixteen different pieces of aluminum designed to provide optimum rigidity and feel. The entire rear suspension was reengineered in order to keep the rear shock in the center of the machine, a position previously used by the airbox (now repositioned to the front of the motorcycle). Reworked triple clamps hold last year’s ultra-plush Kayaba Speed Sensitive fork and reduce offset down to 22mm (from 25mm). The fork also benefits from 10mm longer suspension stroke, updated damping characteristics and still offers both compression and rebound damping adjustment. What has taken so long for someone else to finally reverse the freaken cylinder head. Cannondale and now ATK has been doing it for years. It makes total sense so what's taking so long. It look's like Yamaha took the best of the cannondale of yesteryears and the husaberg of today to make one beautiful. Hopefully we will see these changes on the WR. Then you will have my check!
Engine
This cut-out shows the new 1.6 gal. fuel tank, relocated for 2010 on the YZ450F to underseatFor 2010 the YZ450F’s engine employs revolutionary new ideas we’ve never seen on a Japanese motocross bike. The first thing you’ll notice, besides its sharp new angular bodywork, is the way the 449cc liquid-cooled Single is positioned in the frame. It’s canted rearward for two reasons. First to exploit combustion force and second to keep the bikes reciprocating mass as centered and low as possible. You’ll also notice that the exhaust now exits from the rear of the engine. This was done in order to maximize the engine’s intake and exhaust efficiency by offering a direct path for both fuel and exhaust to flow through the engine.

The bike’s air intake system has been relocated to the front of the bike underneath the fuel tank just like on Yamaha’s YZF-line of sportbikes. A 12-hole fuel-injector shoots fuel into the 44mm Keihin throttle body attached to the front of the engine. It’s powered by a battery-less high input generator that is powered as soon as the kick start is touched.
The cylinder utilizes a bigger bore, shorter stroke format (97.0 x 60.8mm) with a higher compression ratio (12.5:1). A new 4-valve cylinder head replaces last year’s 5-valve component, and, in conjunction with the shorter piston stroke reduces the overall height of the engine. A new “tornado” exhaust system snakes trough the rear of the bike and is designed to complement the new engine’s power characteristics. The 5-speed transmission and cable-actuated wet clutch has also been updated for improved feel and shifting performance
